Captain T. D. Jackson — 'a respected citizen of Tulsa. Capt. Jackson was born in Tolbert County Ga., in 1854, as a slave and fought in the rebel army along side of his master. Secured his discharge after the battle of Mt. Lookout at Chattanooga, and went to Memphis a short while thereafter.'

Guthrie News Leader, November 16, 2013: 'A nephew's journey to honor his uncle' — 'A family's desire to commemorate a family member whom was the victim of the 1921 Tulsa Race Riots and was buried at Guthrie at Summit View Cemetery in an unmarked gravesite finally found closure Thursday.'

Dunmore — 'Dr. Jackson, 42, a prominent physician and surgeon and a graduate of Meharry university, was killed after he emerged from his home with his hands in the air according to an eye witness.'
